Purposes and Legal Bases for Processing Personal Data

When you visit our website, certain data is temporarily saved in a log file without any action on your part. This data is automatically erased after a maximum of 6 months and includes:

– The IP address of the requesting computer
– Date and time of access
– Name and URL of the requested file
– Website from which the file was requested
– Operating system and browser information
– Internet access provider’s name

This data is collected for several purposes, including enabling website use, ensuring system security and stability, facilitating technical administration, optimizing our internet service, and for internal statistical purposes, provided this is necessary to preserve the legitimate interests of the controller or a third party (Art. 6 para 1 letter f GDPR). Our primary interest is in defending against cyberattacks, and the IP address is only evaluated in such cases and for statistical purposes. Additionally, we use cookies and web analytics tools (see sections 6 and 7b).

When you submit job applications on our website, we process the personal data you provide via email or telephone for the purposes of your application based on Art. 6 para 1 letter b and c GDPR. Your data will be kept strictly confidential and, if not requested for erasure, will be stored for a maximum of 6 months after the application process is complete. If we intend to retain your application for a longer period because your profile may match future job openings, we will seek your written consent.

Right to Object and Right of Revocation

According to Art. 21 GDPR, you have the right to object to data processing conducted in our legitimate interest or that of a third party, particularly if your objection pertains to your specific situation or if the objection is related to general or personalized direct marketing. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which we will implement without requiring information about your specific situation. To exercise your right to object or your right of revocation, please contact us via email or through the controller (as detailed in section 1).

Disclosure of Data to Third Parties / Recipients of the Data

We do not disclose your personal data to third parties. However, we use technical providers (e.g., hosting providers) to deliver our
services through data processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. Your personal data is stored at our request and following our instructions in Germany and Switzerland. An adequacy decision by the EU Commission confirms that Switzerland offers an adequate level of data protection due to domestic legal provisions and international obligations concerning privacy protection and fundamental rights (Commission decision 2005/518/EC).

Cookies

To enhance your website experience and enable certain functions, we use cookies based on Art. 6 para 1 letter f GDPR. Cookies are small units of information stored in your computer’s memory. They contain randomly generated unique identification numbers, known as session IDs, and information about their origin and storage duration. These cookies cannot save other data and can be deleted at any time by adjusting your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect website functionality. These cookies are automatically deleted after two weeks.

Use of Anonymized User Profiles for Web Analytics Purposes

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics tool provided by Google Inc. (“Google”), based on Art. 6 para 1 letter f GDPR. Google Analytics uses “cookies” to analyze your website usage. Information generated by cookies about your website usage is typically transmitted to and stored on Google servers in the USA. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will shorten your IP address in a European Union member state or another signatory state of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission. The full IP address is only transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there in exceptional cases. Google uses this information, upon our request, to evaluate website usage, generate reports on website traffic, and provide other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by Google Analytics is not combined with
other Google data. You can prevent cookie storage by adjusting your browser settings, but this may impact website functionality. Additionally, you can prevent the collection and processing of data generated by the cookie related to your website usage (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: [Google Analytics Opt-out](http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). For further information, please refer to Google’s terms of use and privacy policies at [Google Analytics Terms](http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html) and [Google Privacy Policy](https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/). Note that Google Analytics on this website is enhanced with the “anonymizeIp” code to ensure anonymous IP address recording (IP masking). Our legitimate interests lie in website analysis, optimization, and efficient operation.

General Period of Data Storage

Data storage periods depend on the purposes of storage. In general, we delete personal data when it is no longer needed for the intended purpose, unless statutory retention periods apply. For more information on storage periods, refer to specific sections of this data protection notice.

  • The right to access your stored personal data under Art. 15 GDPR.
  • The right to have your stored data rectified or completed under Art. 16 GDPR, if applicable.
  • The right to erasure of your stored data under Art. 17 GDPR (right to be forgotten).

Liability for Links

Our website may contain links to external third-party websites, over which we have no influence. Therefore, we cannot accept liability for the content of these external websites. The respective provider or operator of linked sites is solely responsible for their content.
